Who doesn’t suffer from this is very lucky. For the remaining group the following tips and tricks will help control a nasty epidemic and it is very important that you follow these advices if you don’t want to suffer too much.Contesting ticks includes three important areas, including:Remove ticks from the dog with tweezers.Contest ticks (all stages) by giving the dog certain products such as powder (Ritters), “dip” (Paramite), spray (Frontline, Ovitrol), tick leashes (Preventic) and liquid drops between the shoulder blades. This is needed to prevent the contamination of the Ehrlichia and/or Babesia parasite. These parasites cause the “karpatten” illness; these illness occurs more and more these days. So it would be wise to follow up on these recommendations. To prevent your home and garden from ticks, use Siphotrolspray or Yard & Gardenspray. It’s very important to repeat these treatments regularly. Especially if the contamination is rather extensive, it is important to spray the environment a couple of times every two weeks. The most important symptoms of “"karpatten"” illness are:FeverReduced appetiteSluggishLittle spots of blood on the mucous membrane, as a result of the reduction of the blood platelets in the blood resulting in malfunctioning of the blood clump.Bleedings from other parts of the body, amonst others a bleeding noseBleeding of the skin after removal of a tickDirty eyes because of an infection of the eye mucous membraneLoss of weight despite a good appetitePale mucous membrane. If you notice one of these symptoms it is recommended to consult a veterinarian as soon as possible. The diagnosis can be made on the basis of the symptoms. “"Karpatten"” illness is a disease which can be contested provided that it discovered in time and treated adequately. Of course it is better to prevent the disease. Who doesn’t agree with that? ScabiesScabies is a disease which is very contagious among dogs. If you don’t have it treated, the dog will lose his hair and because of the scratching he will get infected wounds and scabs. The itching is unbearable! The disease is caused by a dust mite who excavates a small tunnel below the skin and reproduces over there. Scabies mainly occurs to weakened and/or neglected animals such as stray animals but also other animals can get infected. The itching originates from an allergic reaction to the dust mite and its turd. The treatment consists of injections with an anti-scabies medicine which must be given two or three times and/or treatment with a special shampoo. These medicines are not expensive. By repeating the treatments during a couple of weeks, you will see the scabies disappear, just as the hairless spots. The dog does no longer suffer from itching and gets a pretty fur again. The animal shelter and the vet would love to help you and your dog with the recovery of scabies. A pets 10 comandments1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.9.Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.10.On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone.
