Kitten explosion, please help!
On an almost daily basis, boxes of unwanted kittens are brought to the shelter. However, cats’ cage is overpopulated and it is just not possible to take more in at present, and tragically, these kittens have to be put to sleep. Please help by adopting a kitten and freeing up some space for the incoming. The original owners of these kittens will be requested to bring the mother in for sterilization, which will be performed free of charge, to prevent another litter coming six months later. Can you add one of these sweet creatures to your family? Please take a look on the ‘Looking for a Home page’ and hurry to the Animal Shelter!

A new Manager for the Animal Shelter
The Board of Dierenbescherming (CSPA) is delighted to introduce to you Cindy Eman, the new Manager of the Animal Shelter. Cindy started on June 8th, full of vigour for her new employment, and has already presented many intelligent new ideas. Cindy clearly wishes to save as many animals as possible, and will do so with our full support. We will regularly post updates on the website concerning ongoing projects and their success, and we look forward very much to a long and collaborative working relationship with her and the existing devoted team. Saturday May 9: Bake sale in restaurant Peppers at Landhuis Granbeeuw
The traditional fundraising Bake Sale, organized on Saturday May 9, was a success. For the 21st consecutive year animal lovers contributed cakes and other delicacies to sell for Mothers day, with profits going to the Animal Shelter. The event was held in Restaurant Peppers at Landhuis Granbeeuw where the antique ambiance certainly helped to draw in the crowds. As usual old friends and sympathizers of the ‘Stichting Dierenbescherming’ gathered for a happy reunion and spent some time together. Total funds raised from this event were over Naf 3,500 and will go direct to the Animal Shelter.
Thanks to all who gave their support and made the Bake Sale a successful event!
