WANTED: ENTHUSIASTIC VOLUNTEERS!!!• Do you care for animals?• Would you like to apply yourself as a volunteer for the welfare of the animals on Curacao?• Are you a good at communicating with owners of pets, in either English, Dutch or Papiamento?• Are you entrepreneurial and do you have organization skills?Then we are looking for you!! The Curacao Society for the Protection of Animals (CSPA) is in need of volunteers for the following positions:Organization of charity events:Because the CSPA is a charitable institution it is dependent on the gifts and donations of third parties. In order to raise funds for the CSPA and thus for the animals on Curacao we invite you to organize a charity event! You are free to come up with creative ideas for such events and to take the lead in the organization thereof. Do you have great organization skills? Please let us know!!Recruitment of sponsors:Some time ago the CSPA has notified many companies of several interesting projects which require sponsors. Because we do not get responses from every company, we are looking for someone who is willing to follow up on these companies and to explain the projects to them in more detail and to discuss with these companies which project would fit in their marketing policy. There are plenty of options!Training of dogs:Recently a volunteer started traning dogs at the animal shelter. This course is open for every dog owner. We are looking for volunteers who would like to help out with these trainings. It would also be very instructive for you as a volunteer!Washing dogs:We intend to organize one day per month on which people can bring in their dogs for a thourough cleaning session in exchange for a small charge. The dogs will be washes, dried, brushed and flees and ticks will be removed. Do you like to pamper dogs and help organizing those days? Please apply as a volunteer!Pets Talk:Perhaps you have seen the first couple of editions of Pets Talk? This is a trendy magazine in which famous residents of Curacao tell about themselves and their animals. Furthermore all sorts of other fun stories are included, but also information about how pets are to be treated. We are looking for people who are willing to solicit advertisers for this magazine. We also need help in finding more distribution points for our magazine.Education:It is of great importance to inform the people about the distress of animals in Curacao and to educate them how to treat animals. Therefore we are looking for volunteers who enjoy contemplating projects for schools whereby the children learn how to care for animals. If you are creative and a child and animal lover, this might be the perfect volunteer job for you!Animal ambulance:People who require urgent help for an animal may call the animal ambulance of the CSPA. We are in need of dedicated volunteers with a drivers license who would like to drive the ambulance at regular times/days. The ambulance is available every weekday between 5 and 10 pm. You will learn about the procedures and how to help the animals in need. Do you want to become the greatest animal saver in Curacao? Let us know!!Animal shelter:We are always in need of volunteers who would like to help out in our animal shelter with the daily care of the shelter animals. Not only will you learn about how to feed and clean them, but you are also invited to give them the attention they deserve.
